Cupcake Cases

Cupcake cases come in a variety of colours, designs and sizes. Cases tend to be made from either grease proof paper or foil. With so many different styles and designs of cupcake cases available, they are a great way to make the cake stand out. Some designs have particular words and logos printed on them to represent the happening of an event such as a birthday or Christmas. Fluted cases are cut in such a way to give a frilly presentation. It is even possible to purchase cases with a handle over them so that they are in the shape of a basket.

Silicone cases may be used for cupcakes and soufflés. Some silicone cases have been designed in the shape of funny characters, making them great to serve at children's parties. The advantage of using silicone cases is that they are easy to wash, reusable and oven-safe.

For muffin cases, a product known as tulip baking cups make the finished product look elegant and graceful. To assist with the baking, these tulip cups are made from grease proof paper. The cases are designed in such a way that the paper reaches out over the muffin, leaving the cake snug in the centre.

Cupcake and muffin cases are used to make the appearance of the cake attractive when on display, but they also allow the cupcakes to be separated from the baking pan. Apart from cakes, foil cases may be used to cook pastries. Larger, rectangular, paper cases are also available to bake mini breads.
