With the cake baking and decorating industry on the rise, suppliers have designed and manufactured a variety of new designs of cake tins.

Celebration cakes no longer need to be just square or round. Today there are tins available in all sorts of shapes and sizes. It is not unusual for people to have specific ideas in mind as to what type of cake they would like for their birthday, wedding, christening or anniversary and with the large variety of tins available, it is far easier to bake and decorate a cake to an individual design.

It is far easier to make a cake today than it was a few years ago, when the tins available were not as sophisticated as they are today. In years gone by the cake would have to be baked in round or square tins and then cut to shape and stuck together to make a specific design.

The tin manufacturers, now make tins which are seamless and along with baking utensils and know-how books and videos that are available, making a specialist celebration cake at home, is a far more realistic proposition and somewhat cheaper than going to a bakery and having a cake made.
